Meet Joe...

Rural Roots. Real Results.

Like many of his neighbors, Joe has faced personal challenges, including family transitions and managing serious health issues. Those experiences strengthened his resilience and deepened his understanding of how quickly life can change—and how important stable jobs, accessible healthcare, and strong communities are to everyday Minnesotans.

Having real lived experience in three very different regions of the state gives Joe a unique perspective on how things work—and don’t work. He is running for State Representative in 23a to bring practical experience, steady judgment, and a strong rural voice for working families to the Minnesota State House of Representatives.

Joe Staloch was raised on a family farm in Southern Minnesota, where he learned early the value of hard work, responsibility, and looking out for your neighbors. Growing up he developed a strong foundation in service, fairness, and respect for others and remains engaged in community life today through participation in the interfaith group ISAIAH, which brings people of different faiths and backgrounds together around shared values and a commitment to serving the common good. Joe believes government has a responsibility to serve all citizens with dignity, regardless of background or belief.

Joe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Winona State University while working his way through school in the service industry, managing a professional kitchen. He later moved to the Twin Cities, where he spent nearly a decade working in environmental and industrial services, helping businesses operate safely and responsibly. Joe returned to Southern Minnesota and transitioned his career into the building materials industry before taking his current position expanding access to rural fiber and wireless internet where he wears many hats—solving problems and helping connect communities with the infrastructure they need to grow.
